Privacy Policy – SnagReport Pro

This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected and processed by SnagReport Pro and for what purposes.

1. General information

SnagReport Pro is a mobile application used to create inspection reports, store room data, photos, comments, and defect notes. The app primarily works locally on the user's device and does not require an account.

2. Data collected and processed

a) Data stored locally on the device

The app may store report data on the user's device, including report and room names, building details, inspection party details, dates, deadlines, statuses, notes, photo descriptions, photos, company and person names from the contractor directory, and a company logo uploaded by the user.

Report data is automatically saved locally in app storage, including a local IndexedDB database used when needed to recover a draft. It is not sent to a developer-operated server or to the cloud. A named JSON draft or PDF report is saved in the device's Documents storage only when the user chooses the relevant save or export option.

b) Camera and gallery

The app accesses the camera or photo gallery only after a user action. Photos are used to document defects and remain on the device unless the user exports or shares a file.

c) Advertising-related data

If the app displays Google AdMob ads, Google and its partners may process advertising or device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, device technical information, and ad interaction data. These data are used to deliver, measure, prevent fraud in, and, where applicable consent is provided, personalize ads.

d) No user account required

The app does not require user registration, login, email, phone number, or account creation.

3. Purpose of data processing

Data are processed to: create, edit, and automatically save inspection reports locally; store photos, logos, room details, and contractor-directory entries; enable offline work; display advertisements in accordance with advertising network requirements; and support the correct functioning of the app and error handling.

4. Storage of data

Report data is stored locally in the app, including its browser storage and IndexedDB database, and in files saved by the user in the device's Documents storage. Autosave helps recover the current draft but is not a guaranteed backup. The user chooses whether to share an exported file outside the app.

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell user data. We do not share user data with third parties, except where required by law or necessary for advertising services such as Google AdMob.

6. Advertising and advertising tools

Before requesting ads, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform. Where required by the user's region and an active Google message, Google's official consent form is displayed. Ads are initialized only when Google allows ad requests.

The user can open ad privacy options from the "Ad privacy settings" link in the app when Google makes them available for the user's region.

7. User rights

The user can remove report data by clearing app data in device settings and can remove JSON/PDF files manually from the Documents folder. Advertising consent can be managed through ad privacy options where available.

8. Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect user data stored on the device. However, the security of the device itself is outside the app's control.

9. Policy changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be stated in the app or in the associated project documentation.
